Depending on your results and your personal situation, supported by us, you decide on a type of insemination and additional therapeutic measures. At our Kinderwunsch Institut, we offer you the following possibilities to make your dream of your own baby finally come true and to sustainably change your life:
The best time to get pregnant is approximately three days to one day prior to the ovulation. This is the period of time with the greatest chance of a successful fertilisation. In the case of intercourse at the optimum time, this period is accurately determined via cycle monitoring, so that you’ll know when to have really cozy moments together in your bedroom.
By the administration of hormones, the ovaries are stimulated so as to develop several follicles. The hormones can be precisely dosed and show a direct dose-response relationship. Their application via subcutaneous injections is comfortable and safe. Even couples with a phobia of injections realise after the first application that this process is easy and safe.
Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is often carried out if the sperm quality – either due to a too low number of sperms or due to reduced motility – is poor. In this process, either the prepared semen of the partner or donor sperm from our sperm bank can be used, making this method also a gentle option for getting pregnant for lesbian women.
If the fallopian tubes are blocked or if the sperm is of a low quality, the approach of in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) can be taken into consideration. This term refers to an artificial insemination of the egg in a Petri dish. In this process, the egg cell is inseminated with the prepared sperm in vitro, where spontaneous fertilisation takes place. In this way, a natural selection of the high-quality sperms is effected. With our patented IVF pure and IVF active techniques, we offer both a hormone-free and a hormone-assisted variant.
ICSI, intracytoplasmic sperm injection, provides another possibility. It is applied if the quality of the sperms is reduced due to a low number of sperm cells, limited motility, or shape. In this process, an individual sperm cell is suctioned with a hollow needle and directly injected into the prepared egg cell. In this way, successful fertilisation can be achieved in spite of a low-quality semen result.
TESE (testicular sperm extraction) is a technique in the course of which a small bit of testicular tissue is removed in a surgical procedure, extracting sperms which can then be used for an ICSI.
TESA (testicular sperm aspiration) is a technique that is less invasive than TESE and can for instance be applied when the spermatic ducts are blocked.
There are various reasons why some men are not able to produce any sperm cells. To fulfil their desire of having a child nevertheless, we offer sperm cells of selected and especially qualified donors.
An egg donation is an option for women who have undergone a series of failed IVF attempts, in particular if their eggs are of poor quality or if they suffer from a hereditary, genetic disease that could severely harm a child. This indication can be clarified in advance by means of the preimplantation genetic diagnosis. Preceding chemotherapy, surgical procedures on the ovaries, or the congenital absence of ovaries are further reasons for taking an egg donation into consideration.
